Celebrating 20 YEARS since our Maiden Squeeze
Believe it or not — it’s been 20 years since our maiden squeeze!
That memorable Monday evening, October 17, 2005, brought together just over 70 accordion enthusiasts at the Day Murray Music Recital Hall — and marked the beginning of something truly special.
That inaugural night, Marjean and Richard Nielsen stepped up as co-hosts and became the club’s first leaders. And what a night it was — highlighted by a spirited performance from Steve Mori, setting the tone for the joyful music and camaraderie that would follow for years to come.
It was the official launch of Utah’s third accordion club, joining NUAC (Northern Utah Accordion Club in Orem) and SLAAC (Salt Lake Area Accordion Club) in Salt Lake City.
Fast-forward to 2025, and the Wasatch Accordion Club proudly stands as Utah’s longest-running and only remaining accordion club — a true testament to the enthusiasm, friendship, and loyalty of you, our members!

Welcome to the Wasatch Accordion Club!
The Wasatch Accordion Club (WAC) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization owned by its members. Founded on October 5, 2005, our first meeting was held on October 17, 2005, at the Alette Day Cultural Arts Center.
For more than 19 years, WAC has proudly served as a home for local accordionists and enthusiasts who share a love for this unique instrument.
Monthly Meetings
We meet on the first Monday of each month (except when adjusted for holidays) at Joy Luck in Bountiful, Utah.
- • Gathering & Dinner: 6:00–6:30 PM
- • Club Business & Music: A brief meeting followed by live accordion performances!
Board Meetings
Our club board meets on the Thursday following each Monday club meeting. Board members are encouraged to attend, and all club members are welcome to join.
